Riva Stinger Adapter Kit

This kit allows the installation of the Pro Series flow control valve to the second generation Riva stinger II kit. It includes all the hardware and detailed instructions on how to install the kit.

This adaptation kit will yield more bottom end response and an increase in top speed as well. This kit will allow you to control at what RPM you begin to inject water into the exhaust, and to control the total volume of water being injected. This kit offers increased bottom end with better acceleration coming out of turns. This is accomplished by literally shutting off the water to the exhaust below 3400 RPM. What this does is to prevent the water build up in the water box and exhaust hoses and then having to blow it out on acceleration. Even during deceleration the instant the water pressure drops, the flow control valve stops the water flow. This increase in response is felt especially coming out of turns.

By reducing the volume of water you also get better midrange and higher RPM's. We have seen RPM increases from 50 to 125, with some customers reporting more. Impeller pitch, ride plate scoop grate, and carb jetting are some factors that determine how much RPM increase you can achieve. The reason less water yielded more RPM, in this particular case, was the higher water pressures at these higher RPM's was forcing enough water to actually decrease the flow capacity through the exhaust pipe, water box and hoses. When water is injected onto hot exhaust gasses it becomes steam, steam expands and takes up space, we now have exhaust gasses, steam and water all competing for space. What we end up with is a definite decrease in flow capability (CFM). So by us adjusting the total volume of water we can increase the flow capacity to actually gain high speed RPM.

The increased bottom end allows the use of a steeper impeller to gain additional top speed yet still maintain very good acceleration not otherwise possible.

The only special tools needed is a 6mm 1.0 tap, and a drill and drill bit set.

A digital tach is highly recommended to help fine tune for maximum performance. (digital tach sold separately)
